This policy explains what MyWeddingSeats (myweddingseats.com) does and does not do with information when you use the site. The short version: your guest list and seating plan are saved only in your own browser, our host keeps ordinary server logs briefly, and advertising and analytics cookies are used only in the ways described here, with a way to refuse each.

Your guest list and seating plan

The guest names, notes, table names, capacities, and seating assignments you enter are saved using your browser's local storage (a standard web browser feature), entirely on your own device. This data is never transmitted to, or stored on, our servers -- we have no database of guest lists and no way to see what you've entered. It persists across page reloads on the same browser and device so your plan isn't lost, but it does not sync to another browser or device, and clearing your browser's site data for myweddingseats.com (or using a private/incognito window) will remove it. There are no accounts and nothing to sign up for.

What our servers record

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel records standard request logs (the page requested, your IP address, browser type, referring page, and time) to operate and secure the service. We do not use these logs to identify individual visitors, and they are retained only for a short period under Vercel's privacy policy.

Cookies and consent

The site itself sets no cookies to function (your seating plan is local storage, not a cookie). Two categories of third-party tools may set cookies or use similar identifiers:

Advertising

This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites on the internet. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites. Other third-party vendors and ad networks may also serve ads here; their cookies and identifiers are subject to their own policies.

You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can opt out of many other third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices (United States) or youronlinechoices.eu (Europe). Analytics

We use two tools to understand aggregate traffic, such as which pages are visited and where visitors come from. Google Analytics 4 runs only if you accept analytics cookies; it is configured with IP anonymisation and we do not enable advertising features or user-level identifiers. Ahrefs Web Analytics is cookieless: it counts page views without setting any identifier on your device and without personal data, so it does not require consent. Neither tool ever sees your guest list or seating plan, which stays in local storage and is never sent to any analytics or advertising service.

Email you send us

If you email us, we keep your message and address for as long as needed to reply and resolve the matter, then delete it. We do not add you to any list.

Children

MyWeddingSeats is intended for adults planning an event and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, email us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Because the site holds almost nothing about you on our servers (your seating plan lives only in your own browser), most requests are simple. If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of personal data we hold, and to withdraw consent at any time (use the cookie notice, your browser settings, or simply clear the site's local storage for your seating plan; ad choices are at the links above). If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected and to request its deletion; we do not sell personal information, and opting out of personalised ads is how you exercise the "do not share" choice for advertising cookies. If we change how the site handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be noted here for at least 30 days.
